Saudi Arabian Joint Venture
The
United Transformers Electric Company (Utec) is a joint venture between Wilson Transformer Company and
AL-FOZAN GROUP, a leading Saudi Arabian Company. Utec was
established in 2001 in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Under the Joint Venture agreement Utec and Wilson provide technical and manufacturing knowhow for
a complete range of Distribution Transformers from 50KVA up to 3150KVA, Medium Voltage Switchgear
and Package Substations from 100KVA to 2500KVA per IEC standards.
Utec is an approved manufacturer by SEC and other Electrical utilities in the Middle East.
Customer orientation and needs analysis are an integral part of each project and customer
requirements are carefully evaluated before manufacturing and fabrication. Utec's Quality
Management systems are ISO 9001 accredited and have been certified by BVQi.
Distribution Transformers
Utec produces standard and customised Distribution Transformers at its plant in Riyadh. The capacities range from
50kVA to 3159kVA and up to 36kV. The plant produces Polemount as well as Groundmounted Distribution Transformers.
Package Substations
Utec's range of Packaged Substations continues to evolve to meet the changing needs of customers. Utec offers low cost,
reliable solutions, which retain a degree of flexibility.
Utec Package Substations range from 100kVA to 2000kVA in accordance with customers requests. They
consist of the distribution transformers, Medium Voltage Switchgears, and lower voltage distribution panels assembled on
galvanized skid base.
