In 1993 the Company formed a Malaysian
Joint Venture, EPE Wilson Transformer Sdn Bhd, to manufacture three
phase distribution transformers and compact substations for the
Malaysian and export markets.
The JV is 30% owned by Wilson
Transformer Co and manufactures transformers up to 2500kVA 33kV.
The design and manufacturing knowhow
for the joint venture was supplied by Wilson Transformer Co.
The project was on a green field site.
Transformers were produced and profits achieved ahead of original
plan.
